Bergamo Walls: Unesco Heritage in the City of the Thousand
The MI EXPERIENCE Prêt-À-Voyager tours start again to rediscover Italy through our guides, skilled artisans of unique experiences.

 "... the city is all locked with bulwarks and its members almost all embankments, the squares, the parapets and the crossbars have been completed to cover themselves from the nearby hills and the fortress with the three-mile circuit is very beautiful" (Alvise Grimani, Venetian commander, 1590)

In this tour we will leave for a guided tour through the Venetian Walls of Bergamo: the imposing walls and ramparts that surround the Upper Town from the 16th century, when Bergamo was the territory of the Republic of Venice. UNESCO heritage since 2017, the walls offer breathtaking views of the city and the nearby hills.

We will pass over gates, ramparts, battlements and curtains,  suspended between "Bergamo Alta" and Lower Bergamo. A journey through powder tanks, gunboats, hidden passages and even stalactites!

A magnificent experience to discover this architectural jewel, with new curiosities and hidden passages.
 
 DIFFICULTY:
 Simple. (CAI: Routes that do not require specific training or that could present orientation problems (walk). Generally: small roads, mule tracks or wide paths.)

Should the pandemic situation worsen or in case of bad weather,  each guest will receive in advance the notice of cancellation of the excursion.
 
 Being an outdoor activity, the Green Pass is not required.
